Crafting Every Piece with Care
At Zenintea, our ceramic teaware is more than functional—it’s a work of art. Every cup, gaiwan, and teapot is crafted with patience, skill, and attention to detail, ensuring each piece enhances your tea experience.

1. Clay Selection: We start with carefully chosen clay, selected for its texture, mineral content, and durability. High-quality clay ensures that each piece is strong, heat-retaining, and perfectly suited for brewing tea.
2. Refining the Clay: The clay is crushed, washed, and sieved to remove impurities. It is then kneaded to achieve uniform texture and moisture, making it ideal for shaping and preventing cracks during firing.
3. Shaping: Skilled artisans shape the clay by hand or wheel. Every curve, foot, and lip is carefully formed to balance aesthetics with functionality, creating pieces that feel natural and comfortable in hand.
4. Trimming & Detailing: Once shaped, pieces are refined with subtle trims and carvings. This step ensures smooth edges, proper proportions, and adds character to each item.
5. Bisque Firing: The unglazed pieces are fired at moderate temperatures to increase strength and durability. This first firing also helps identify and remove any imperfect pieces before glazing.
6. Glazing: Glazes are applied with precision. From delicate gradients to half-glazed finishes, this step brings beauty, texture, and character to the teaware. Each glaze reacts uniquely in the kiln, creating one-of-a-kind patterns.
7. Final Firing: The pieces are fired at high temperatures in carefully controlled kilns. Mastery of temperature and timing ensures the final finish is both stunning and functional. No two pieces are exactly alike.
8. Quality Inspection: Every piece is carefully examined to ensure it meets our standards for aesthetics, durability, and balance. Only pieces that pass inspection are selected to become part of your tea ritual.
